Scite For Mac

Kate (KDE-based, originally for.nix, preview versions for win & mac) Linux SciTE (Also see these tips) Windows Textpad; Notepad; See also the Windows page. MacOS X SubEthaEdit; TextMate has a Haskell bundle, now kept on github. BBEdit and TextWrangler have a codeless language module for Haskell. SciTE includes a CFBundleDocumentTypes list of the extensions (CFBundleTypeExtensions) it knows about that includes “cpp” and similar well known extensions. CFBundleTypeExtensions is deprecated and I just tried to use the preferred LSItemContentTypes with the type base “public.text” which works for “.cpp” and “.html” but doesn. SciTErunone.lua - Runs one script from a list of scripts. You can add all your favorite scripts in your lua subdirectory to the list. Then you don't need them all in your Tools menu at once to access them. SciTEhelp.lua - A context sensitive help script I wrote. Most of the scripts I use are available from the SciTE Scripts page. SciTE is a SCIntilla based Text Editor. Originally built to demonstrate Scintilla, it has grown to be a generally useful editor with facilities for building and running programs. It is best used for jobs with simple configurations - one of its best uses is for building test and demonstration programs as well as SciTE and Scintilla themselves.
